If you're up every hour with a baby who only sleeps in your arms, your intuition has simply taken you as far as it can.
I'm Sarah Mitchell, a baby sleep consultant and Certified Lactation Counselor based in Palo Alto, and the author of The Helping Babies Sleep Method. For 13 years I've helped more than 1,000 families teach their babies to sleep, gently, by looking at feeding, timing and routines together, not just bedtime.
Newborns (0–3 months): set up healthy sleep from the start, with in-home help on feeding, burping and putting your baby down.
Babies (4–12 months): night wakings, 30-minute naps, contact naps, reflux, feeding to sleep and crib transitions.
I also work with toddlers and neurodivergent children.
Newborn Sleep Foundations (0–3 months): a 2-hour in-home visit, a personalized sleep plan and 1 week of follow-up. $500
Bedtime Implementation Package (4–12 months): an in-home bedtime visit and 2 weeks of coaching. $2,000
Signature Overnight Intensive (4–12 months): a 12-hour overnight in-home stay and 2 weeks of coaching. $2,900
Virtual Sleep Coaching (4–24 months): a fully online plan and 2 weeks of coaching. $1,400
In-home visits cover Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Atherton, Los Altos, Mountain View, Stanford, Portola Valley, Redwood City, San Carlos, Sunnyvale, Cupertino and surrounding Peninsula and South Bay towns. A travel fee may apply more than 30 minutes from Palo Alto. Virtual coaching is available anywhere.
