Meet the Founder and Creator of the Helping Babies Sleep Method: Sarah Mitchell

NOBODY UNDERSTANDS BABY SLEEP QUITE LIKE SARAH MITCHELL, BECAUSE NOBODY HAS LIVED IT FROM QUITE AS MANY ANGLES.

She's been the new mother sitting in the dark at 3 am, the exhausted corporate mom running on fumes and too many cups of caffeine, and the clinician who refused to take "just wait it out" as an acceptable answer. As she puts it: "I needed sleep, so I became determined to find real answers, because the kind, well-intentioned advice I kept hearing didn't come with a solid plan I could actually follow." So she did what eight years of healthcare training taught her to do: research, study, and solve the problem.

That training runs deep. Sarah's background in Kinesiology and her Doctor of Chiropractic degree taught her everything about the human body from head to tiny toe. Her coursework included obstetrics, pediatrics, child development, anatomy, physiology, and nutrition. But more than the credentials, it gave her a level of clinical insight that most sleep coaches and doulas never reach.

Sarah knows why your baby's poop is green, why they make those funny noises in their sleep, and exactly what their brain is doing during every wake-up in the night. She can visualize what your milk ducts look like when your baby nurses, why their gums hurt before a tooth cuts through, and why your toddler throws tantrums at bedtime. And when you say "my gut tells me something is off," she leans in with patience and practicality, because she has been trained to listen at exactly that level.

Laurie Glickman

Laurie Glickman, MSW, is our toddler and special needs sleep consultant, based in Orange County, CA. With 20 years in early intervention supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD/ADD, and Down syndrome, Laurie blends deep clinical expertise with lived experience as a parent of a neurodiverse child. A Certified Helping Babies Sleep Consultant and Certified Sleep Specialist (Infant Development Association of California), she uses developmentally appropriate, compassionate, and non-judgmental strategies to help toddlers and neurodiverse children get the restorative sleep they need—and to help caregivers feel confident and supported. Laurie’s approach is high-touch and personalized, combining clear, step-by-step plans with ongoing guidance so your family can enjoy calmer days and peaceful nights.
