How do I feel about "Cry It Out (CIO)"?

Coming from an attachment parenting background, I don’t like to hear any babies cry!  But as an experienced parent and coach, I know changes to sleep habits bring emotions and crying is your child’s way of expressing herself.  

To minimize crying I’ll teach you how to set your child up for success and I’ll teach you how to comfort tears.  In addition, the entire sleep training plan is set up to be the most effective to have the least amount of crying over the least amount of days.  

Unfortunately you can’t make changes without some tears, but my class aims to communicate with your baby so she understands what’s going on and have the least amount of tears.

Is A to Zzzzs the right sleep class for my family?

Your baby is over 4 months of age

You are ready for your baby to sleep independently in her crib

You are ready to dedicate 3-4 days to be at home to dedicate to sleep teaching

No undiagnosed medical conditions

If she has reflux, it is medicated and treatment is effective

Your baby is gaining weight and maintaining a growth curve

If breastfeeding, there are no milk supply issues

You understand there will be tears but you will learn how to comfort those tears

You understand that while Sarah is a chiropractor by training, this class is not to be considered as medical advice

This class works at any feeding stage, including breastfeeding, formula feeding, solids, or any combination.

This class will help you with any of the following:

Naps that only happen in the swing or “on” someone

Frequent night waking and feeding (breast or bottle) back to sleep

Taking forever to fall asleep with a combination of swinging, feeding, holding, rocking etc.
